SHORT SUMMARY

I am an illustrator with a particular interest in publication, Conceptual and 3-Dimensional Design. My portfolio consists of work designed with a primary focus on character concept art, developing comics for publication, animation, 3D environments and digital illustration.

I am proficient across the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects, as well as Microsoft Office. I  also have a good working knowledge of using Google SketchUp to create large 3D objects. I am very eager to learn new skills, develop the ones I already have and work in a creative agency.

Personal Statement

When I was six years old, I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and Autism. I was told that wouldn’t be able to achieve my dreams of becoming an astronaut because of my diagnosis, so when I told my nan, she told me to write about becoming an astronaut instead and show a world through my eyes.

I am an illustrator with a particular interest in publication, Conceptual and 3-Dimensional Design. My portfolio consists of work designed with a primary focus on character concept art, developing comics for publication, animation, 3D environments and digital illustration. As well as being a specialist in digital-based media, I also employ more traditional methods such as block printing, linocut, and cyanotype.

I have studied the controversial issue of hybridity in manga and anime, exploring cultural appropriation, homage, and how these affect the industry. This interests me because I create comics in this style although I am not Japanese.

I hope to gain experience as a concept designer, and eventually publish my own comics and novels.
